Each year over 5.5 million people from around the world visit the Grand Canyon, a UN World Heritage Site. The first time I approached Mather Point, a short walk from the Visitor Center, I will never forget that vista that stretched out before me. Like myself, fellow visitors who stood on either side of me fell silent in awe and wonder at the scene they were witnessing. This is one site that you MUST see before you die. From wherever you are in the U.S. or around the world, the stunning views, the fantastic lodging and dining…the entire experience is a memory you will cherish the rest of your life. The South Rim, where most of the activity at the Grand Canyon takes place, is easy to get to from the international Sky Harbor Airport in Phoenix. The North Rim, less travelled but just as stunning, is also very accessible by car or tourist transportation.
I live not far from the Grand Canyon so it is my neighbor. I’ve been there many times and each time it is a new experience. And I want you to experience that beautiful work of Nature for yourself. I have written a very inexpensive guide that tours and describes all that you can see and do along the North and South Rims. Information about how to get around, where to sleep, where to eat, and where to buy all types of mementos are all included in my “Grand Canyon” guide. All the pictures you see are recent and were taken by me as author and photographer of this travel edition. Just click on the book cover photo above or below and you will be taken directly to the “Grand Canyon” order page on Amazon Kindle. You will have it downloaded to your computer, smartphone, or tablet in less than 30 seconds. This newly updated edition of “Grand Canyon” includes detail on just added information about the North Rim, History, Geography, Geology, Plants and Animals.
I hope you will come to visit the Grand Canyon sometime in your life. If you can’t then you can experience a small part of that visit by getting my book.
If you are going to visit this summer I would highly suggest you make reservations at any of the accommodations listed in my book as soon as possible. Space fills up fast inside the boundaries of the Grand Canyon and at the hotels in the nearby town of Tusayan.
And when you do come to visit, have a great time. Relax, rest, and enjoy the beauty of the Grand Canyon.
